The Brookline Center Receives Transformative Grant from The Hamilton Company Charitable Foundation
The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health announced today that it has received a $460,000 capital grant from The Hamilton Company Charitable Foundation. This transformational investment will fund a suite of high-priority upgrades to enhance clinical care, improve accessibility, and support staff collaboration and wellness.
“We are deeply grateful to the Hamilton Foundation for their enduring partnership and visionary support. Their investment will allow us to move forward with critical facility improvements that will elevate our ability to serve the community with compassion, quality, and innovation,” said Ian Lang, CEO of The Brookline Center.
The funded improvements will include:
- Two fully equipped, tech-enabled conference rooms—including a new third-floor Hamilton Conference Room to support hybrid clinical care, staff collaboration, training, and partner meetings.
- A fully accessible limited use elevator restoring independent access between the ground and first floors.
- Modernization of the Center’s HVAC system.
- Renovation of the staff workroom into a functional, welcoming hub.
- Upgrades to two underperforming telehealth rooms.
- Construction of a new secure multi-purpose garage with bike storage.
- Installation of built-in storage to preserve valuable therapy space.
This is the second major capital grant The Brookline Center has received from the Hamilton Foundation in just five years. In 2019, the Foundation awarded $525,000 to create the Center’s Outdoor Therapeutic Space— now a vital part of clinical care, staff wellness, and community connection at the Center.
