Women creating positive change for women and girls

Increasing support, raising awareness, and reducing stigma around mental health.

Through dynamic social, philanthropic, and volunteer initiatives, Women at the Center brings together local women to build support for women and girls’ mental health, transforming women’s lives and deepening community connections.

Together, as women donors and volunteers, we help adolescent girls cope with bullying and other social challenges; support women experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, mental illness, and trauma; and provide integrated mental health care and a safe environment in which women of all ages can connect, build resilience, and discover news possibilities.

Join us for our two signature annual events, the Winter Kickoff fundraiser and the springtime “philanthropy-in-action” event Hand-in-Hand, or for one of our smaller events throughout the year. Please email us to join our Women at the Center mailing list, so you’ll be the first to know when we announce the event dates.

Many Women’s Fund supporters choose to join the Edna Stein Leadership Giving Society. A gifted innovator and advocate for people living with mental illness, Edna Stein was the first “Woman at the Center,” the founder and first president of The Brookline Center for Community Mental Health.
