Sometimes finding the best care can be quick, and sometimes it may take a few weeks or months. In the meantime, here are some resources that people living with psychosis have found helpful.

In Massachusetts

  • Young Adult Access Centers: Community spaces where young adults with mental health concerns can access services and supports in a timely and effective manner
  • Peer-run Respites: Short-term, voluntary stays for individuals age 18 and up in safe, supportive homes staffed entirely by individuals with lived experience
  • WellSpace at McLean: Groups program along with vocational support for young adults ages 18–30 who have experienced psychosis
  • Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Boston: A volunteer-run self-help support organization for people diagnosed with, or who feel they have experienced, mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder
  • Kiva Centers Peer Support: Offers peer support online, in person, by phone, and through external resources
  • Recovery Learning Communities: Peer-run networks of self-help/peer support, information and referral, advocacy, and training activities
