Become A Host Parent

New Pathways is always looking for more host homes. This is a great way to make a big difference in a teen’s life.

In just one night:

  • A kid might eat 2 peanut butter sandwiches instead of going hungry.
  • A tired teen might sit through half of the late show with you instead of asking the wrong person for help.
  • A 15 year old will sleep with the lights out instead of sleeping on a park bench.
  • A teen will see that adults care instead of getting victimized.

Hosting could work for you!

  • Teens stay between one night and two weeks.
  • Hosting is flexible. You can continue to keep your work schedule, and you can decide when during the year you are open to taking in teens.
  • Host parents get ongoing support and training from the New Pathways Coordinators who work to make sure you and the adolescent have a successful experience.
  • Youth and host parents are carefully screened and matched by the New Pathways Coordinators.
  • Host Parents can be single adults, couples, including same-sex couples, or families.
